About The Role

                                                             Transport Supervisor:
 
 
As a Transport Supervisor you will be accountable for the day to day running of the transport department, working closely with the management team to ensure that expectations and KPIs are met and exceeded. You will be responsible for the safe operation and upkeep of all driver equipment, maintaining high standards of health and safety, ensuring an excellent customer experience is always provided and all scheduling and administration. The overall goal for all AAH employees is to assist in delivering an efficient, safe and vital healthcare service to our customers.
 
Full time role up top 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week, shift pattern 14:00 to 22:00 (Shift start and finish times may vary and an occasional 6 day/shift may be required)

As one of our Transport supervisors, you will have a busy and active role:

  • Lead and coach your team to ensure productivity and KPI’s are being achieved 
  • Plan and manage designated resource to undertake the day to day work to achieve service levels and key branch performance targets within employment costs
  • Ensure the safe operation and upkeep of all warehouse equipment and maintain high standards of health and safety, cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the branch
  • Ensure the operation adheres to Standard Operating Procedures within the branch to ensure compliance with statutory requirements of all regulatory bodies, GDP, MHRA and to retain the branch ISO quality accreditation 
  • Make decisions which positively affect all aspects of branch performance that are aligned with our values
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience is provided at all times 
  • Dispatch reporting; data entry of all pallets and stock leaving the branch
  • Planning bulk and multidrop deliveries and collections throughout the country
  • Ensure the fuel management system is used for the viewing of associated reports
  • Ensure drivers are completing Daily Work Records both accurately and timely as per Company guidelines Respect
  • Carrying out monthly vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance is followed highlighting any damages

Basic qualifications & Skills required:

  • Previous transport experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to schedule and prioritise workload
  • Confidence to engage customers in open conversation
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Effective team player
  • Full current and valid Driving Licence
  • Previous Good Distribution Practice ‘GDP’ experience is desirable
